The Reef Ball Foundation funded the training and provided a mini-bay mold for "Sustainable Livelihoods through Sustainable Resource Management, A Prospectus for Coastal and Marine Community Solutions in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Interdisciplinary Group for Environmental Justice in Coastal and Marine Communities" Ohio University and Hasanuddin University Reef Ball Project. PhD Candidate Rita Steyn rs356098@ohio.edu from Ohio University was trained on the Reef Ball coral propagation and transplanting system and Reef Ball construction this week for a project in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Soft (octa) corals were transplanted onto the Eternal Reef Balls in Manatee County as part of her training. After training she took the mold with her to Indonesia and completed the project.
