He said the ministry would therefore seek to strengthen the quality control processes at all outlets and would, in a joint venture with the Ministry of Health, embark on a journey to implement training programmes for market staff and vendors. Speaking on the occasion of the Fisherfolk awards ceremony held at the Fisheries Division, Princess Alice Highway, St Michael, last Saturday, he said it was the ministry's aim to maintain a consistent pattern in terms of healthy, hygienic standards within the market facilities, as well as in the marina outside the market. "Two weeks ago, an upgraded facility was opened at Speightstown and very soon a new state of the art facility will be constructed at Six Men's Bay. Also, this fiscal year, work will be done on the upgrading of the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex and the Oistins Market, in addition to the construction of the Seafood City Complex at the BADMC building along the Harbour
