525_kids_reef_balls Here are the students from Mr. Smith 6th grade class who got the entire reef ball project underway. Many joined the REEF RAKER dive team and still are active in the project. These kids have a reef in TAMPA BAY with their name on it - and are now featured in the new 7th grade Science and Technology textbook published by Holt, Rhineholt, and Winston (2005). What awesome students and I will never forget their hard work and dedication to the reefs. These students are now part of the new 7th grade level science textbooks just released and adopted in Manatee County. The Holt, Rhinehart, and Winston publishers felt these students deserved to be included for their efforts and the uniqueness of the REEF RAKERS concept.
