A 125 foot boat ran on the reef in early Feb. 2006 at the entrance to Lyford cay Harbour. The bow section broke off and gouged a channell for 400 feet across a coral reef patch. BREEF has met with the owner of the boat and Reef Ball Foundation has proposed a Reef Ball Coral Team Activation of worldwide experts to restore the Reef. The Owner is working with their insurance company to cover the costs of restoring the reef.
